Frequently Asked Questions

Most residential fence projects take 1-3 days depending on size, material, and weather conditions. Larger or more complex projects may take longer, nut we'll give you a clear timeline before work begins.

You don't have to be home the entire time, as long as we have access to the work area and pets are secured. We'll communicate with you before, during and after the project.

Spring and summer fill up quickly. We recommend reaching out a few weeks in advance, but we'll always do our best to fit you into our schedule as soon as possible.

No. We take care to protect your property during the installation and always perform a full cleanup before we leave.

A properly installed and maintained wood fence can last 15-25 years depending on wood type, weather exposure, and maintenance.

Yes. Staining helps protect the wood from moisture and UV damage. We typically recommend staining within a few months of installation once the wood has had time to dry.

Absolutely. We repair sagging gates, replace hardware, and adjust alignment so they open and close smoothly

Sometimes repairs make sense, and sometimes replacement is the better long-term investment. We'll give you honest recommendations based on the fence's condition.

Late spring through early fall is ideal. Temperatures should be moderate and the wood should be dry for best results.

Most fences and decks should be re-stained every 2-4 years depending on sun exposure, weather, and the type of stain used.

We install fence posts to a minimum of 48" below grade to handle Minnesota's freeze-thaw cycles, helping prevent shifting and leaning over time.

Safety and quality come first. If weather causes delays, we'll keep you informed and reschedule as soon as conditions allow.
